متن کاملEvaluation of removal efficiency of 2-chlorophenol in aquatic environments by modified fly ash
Background: Chlorophenols are classified as priority toxic pollutants. These acidic organic compounds present a serious potential hazard for human health and aquatic life. Chlorophenols accumulate in water, soil and air due to high stability, and impart an unpleasant taste and odor to drinking water and can exert negative effects on different biological processes. Among the different methods of...
متن کاملAdsorption of tungsten onto zeolite fly ash produced by hydrothermally treating fly ash in alkaline solution.
Fly ash (FA) was hydrothermally treated in an alkaline solution to produce zeolite fly ash (Z-FA). The properties of the FA and Z-FA were investigated. The amounts of tungsten (W) adsorbed onto the FA and Z-FA surfaces were evaluated. Z-FA was produced by hydrothermally treating FA in an alkaline solution. The specific surface area and pore volume of the Z-FA were greater than those of the FA. ...
متن کاملKinetics of Formation of Polychlorinated Dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans from Carbon on Fly Ash
Experiments were carried out to study the rate of PCDD/F formation from carbon on fly ash. The formation follows first order behaviour during the first part of the experiment. With longer reaction times, degradation reactions become more important. Rate constants found were in between 0.01-0.04 min -1.
متن کاملProduction geopolymer materials by coal fly ash
Coal ash is the main waste from power plant. It is estimated that the consumption of the coal for power plant will increase to 240 million tons each year and the coal ash wastes will produce more than 2 million tons per year. Although the utilization of coal fly ash can be reached 74.1%, large amount of coal fly ash and bottom ash still cannot be utilized. The purpose of this research is to dev...
